I asked you if we could kiss and you said your lipstick wasn't right and I said it looked normal and you said I wasn't paying attention
Then you asked if I loved you and I said "Your name is on the mortgage and those last a while... so yes"
Then you asked me to play you a song and I said that "They're never right and happy"
And you said that "No song should be"
And I said "The song's about us."
And you said "That's just the truth"
When we were five years old I never said I wanted to be a hateful person
But I did say I wanted to be an artist and there's no difference
And we'll grow up with ever plan we made fucked up
And I'll dowse myself with the water you use to refresh yourself with me
And now our name's are off each other's MySpace pages
You talked about me to your friends and said you didn't want kids and I said
"Then how is our kids supposed to love us?"
When we were five years old I never said I wanted to be a hateful person
But I did say I wanted to be an artist and there's no difference
And we'll grow up with ever plan we made fucked up
And I'll dowse myself with the water you use to refresh yourself with me
And now our name's are off each other's Wikipedia pages

A Handful Of Coins

You should really call your friend
She's looking really red
She's got a whole collection of coins with one month written on them
And saying you've got a problem isn't solving a damn thing
And I can't keep being there constantly for you if nothing's gonna change
I'm tired
~We all love you very much~
I called her for you yesterday
She said she's doin' okay
They feed her twice a day
All her one month coins are six months now
I don't want to tell you this
And I love you very much
But I can't be there for you after this
I just can't do it...
But
~We all love you very much~

We said we'd walk down to where there's oceans
Once we got down to the pier you said
"My Dear, I don't feel we should be here"
So we had to say "Goodbye" with our hands still intertwined
~I was never going to know you and the ocean needs me more than I need love~
I've been at sea searching for something that brings importance
As it turns out it's unified clothing because everything stays the same
People have Christianity and that's why they're so unhappy
I came by our old house to see how you were doing
You seemed happy and I was glad you were
I asked if we could still be together and you said
~"I was never gong to know you and the ocean needs you more than I love you"~

God hath placed his wretched hands upon my forehead
And sentenced me to a forever-falling pit-of-despair of his own creation
And he doth love me
And he doth love me...
Slowly fade into obscurity
The curse of time has placed it's hands on my heart
It calls for me to become a shell of myself
And become truly unlovable
Slowly fade into obscurity
I wonder if you remember me

Hold me stupid loves, when I'm loved all these songs will mean nothing
And I'll be mature
Maturity is the path to salvation
Write me stupid loves
When our depressing hole of compassion inevitably collapses
I'll cherish them
Goodbye my love
I'll be your cat bringing you a dead rat everyday for the rest of your life
Hold me stupid loves, when I'm loved all these songs will mean nothing
Hold me stupid loves, when I'm loved all these songs will mean nothing
Hold me stupid loves
Hold me stupid loves
